Port Macquarie is set to become a giant dance floor to Australia’s who’s who of electronic dance music.

TIMMY TRUMPET – WILL SPARKS – TYRON HAPI

Announcing the inaugural LUNAR ELECTRIC festival debuting on the lawns of Port Macquarie’s Cassegrains Winery on Saturday January 6 2018. The team behind the increasingly popular Port Macquarie Intensive club series – which has played host to the likes of Mashd N Kutcher, Stafford Brothers, Bombs Away, Jesse Bloch, Kate Fox, The Potbelleez, to name a few – have curated what promises to be Australia’s biggest homegrown EDM Festival and a celebration of the EDM talent Australia has to offer.

Electronic music lovers will be pleased with the incredible lineup of DJs the festival will bring to New South Wales’ mid-coast with the first lineup which includes Australia’s #1 DJ as crowned by inthemix.com.au in 2014, Will Sparks, and one of Melbourne’s best up-and-comers, Tyron Hapi… and we haven’t even announced the headliner yet! Further artist announcements will be made in the lead up to the festival.

Since his genre-defining track, ‘Ah Yeah!’ hit #3 on the Beatport overall charts at the tail end of 2012, 24 year old Will Sparks has been unstoppable, curating a catalogue of highly esteemed, energising repertoire by producing hit after hit and gaining recognition from a number of dance music heavyweights and the biggest names in the industry and winning him multiple Gold and

Platinum records to decorate the walls with, including four top 10 Beatport records before May, 2017 alone. In his short career, Will Sparks has won the title of ‘Best Breakthrough Artist’ [inthemix – 2013], one of ‘Billboard Magazine’s 10 most exciting young talents’, #73 DJ in the World [DJ Mag Top 100 – 2016], embarked on countless world tours and hitting some of the biggest stages in the world including Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and TomorrowWorld. The Melbourne-born tastemaker has well and truly earnt his placing as one of the most esteemed and exciting electronic acts to break out of Australia this decade.

At only 18 years of age, Tyron Hapi is making his mark as one of the best up-and-coming producers Australia has to offer. With collaborations with some of Australia’s best known artists – Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet and Joel Fletcher to name a few, Tyron has been producing since the young age of 14 and has honed his skills to display a trademark sound that includes epic progressive house breakdowns which always lead into fierce and trademark drops. There is no doubt Tyron Hapi is part of a new school of producer to emerge of late; a new breed that has been brought up on a musical diet of electronic music and club culture, and you can safely place your bets on Tyron to be a future leader in the next phase of the scene’s evolution.

Port Macquarie is already a town well known for its music enthusiasts having already established popular and successful festivals such as Wildwood and others, now Lunar Electric will suffice the needs of its electronic music fans.

THIS IS STRICTLY AN OVER 18 EVENT. ID REQUIRED AT GATE
